PiiA: Smart tools for fish aquaculture (2021-2022)

HIFAI – Sustainable industrial fish production using AI and advanced data analysis – implementation (Since 2023)

The overall aim of this VINNOVA funded project is to improve aquaculture  through the use of AI and advanced data analysis. For this purpose, we use a combination of video and sound recording devices (GoPro, hydrophones) underwater. This project is divided in several work-packages:

  1. Optimised feeding through fish behaviour analysis
  2. Biomass estimation
  3. Adaptive feeding

This project is a collaboration between the University of Gothenburg, IVL, INNOVATUM and our industrial partners, Smögenlax AB & Gårdsfisk.

Main funding agency , VINNOVA, 600,000 SEK (2021); 3,299,290 SEK (2023-2025)
